Caregiver and Grief Support Testimonials

When it came time for my mother to enter a nursing home, Joy became the person of contact during this emotional time. Joy took the lead in the effort to place my mother in a quality facility. This was a tremendous help and mental release on me as I live 1300 miles away and could not have done 90% of the work that she did.

Caregiver Support Testimonials

When it came time for my mother to enter a nursing home, Joy became the person of contact during this emotional time. Joy took the lead in the effort to place my mother in a quality facility. This was a tremendous help and mental release on me as I live 1300 miles away and could not have done 90% of the work that she did. Joy also supervised all the logistics involved in transitioning my mother from her home into a nursing facility. This included, but was not limited to packing, moving, storing and finding charitable outlets for all of my mother’s items that my mother accumulated during her life. I could not be more pleased with the results and the effort that Joy put into finding my mother a care facility as well as transitioning my mother with the level of care that I would have given her if I were there personally.

Steve Nichols, Son of Aging Mother

I recently had a client whose son was deploying to Iraq and therefore only able to offer his father limited assistance with the move. When I first spoke with the client, In a few words, my client was scared, overwhelmed, and panicked. When I first called, Joy, I was not sure anything could be done to help this person, not just with all of his stuff, but with dealing with such an emotional change. I am grateful to say that you have succeeded and as of today we have a happy new resident with a great new apartment, free of clutter. My client is now living a happier, healthier, and safer life thanks to you.

Grief Support Group Testimonials

I have suffered several deaths over the past few years, but 2012 was the breaking point for me emotionally. I found my best friend dead in her home in November, which was devastating!  Also this past year, I suffered a major break up with my fiancé of 3 years.  I decided to get much needed support to help get through this time of suffering. In our support group, about five other people shared their experience of dealing with death of loved ones as well.  We studied the book, “The Journey Through Grief” and it was very enlightening.  It helped me realize that there is a process that each grieving person goes through.  I also learned that it is okay to mourn the loss of loved ones, but we must remember to live for ourselves at some point.  Ironically, I learned that we not only grieve the dead but suffering losses, as I experienced with my fiancé.  Working through this process has eased the pain and allowed me to move on with life and remember those I’ve lost through love or death. Learning that I am not alone in this process and the support I received was phenomenal!!  Thank you so much for caring and sharing your experience and the love you have to help others.

Dawn, Participant of Grief Support Group

The process of going thru the grief workbook was very timely in my life. The book, lessons and support group helped me begin my journey of healing from the deaths of my dad and mom. Each lesson gave me structure to think thru my grief in a new perspective and helped me express my pain in a healthy way. Joy Davidson is an excellent facilitator and coach, knowing how to come alongside the grieving. I now have tools to help myself when I feel stuck and I am at a new normal in my grief process. I highly recommend this book and class to anyone who desires to grow thru grief and not be stuck.
